 PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (Ticker) -- John Grahame stopped 27 shots and Andre Savage and Joel Prpic scored third-period goals as the Boston Bruins remained one of three unbeaten teams with a 3-1 exhibition victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. Boston's backup until No. 1 goaltender Byron Dafoe ends his holdout, Grahame allowed only Steve McCarthy's goal with 5:27 left in the second period to improve to 2-0 in the preseason. Aaron Downey also scored and Brandon Smith had two assists for the Bruins (4-0-2), who with San Jose and Detroit are the league's only unbeaten teams in the preseason. Steve Passmore turned aside 27 shots for the Blackhawks, who dropped to 4-2-0 in exhibition play. The game drew 8,114 fans to the Providence Civic Center, home of the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins, Boston's top minor league affiliate.
