TORONTO -- Former world No. 1 Gustavo Kuerten will lead Brazil against Canada in Davis Cup qualifying.

Kuerten, a three-time French Open champion, is coming off hip surgery in February. He has a 15-8 singles record in Davis Cup matches.

Fernando Meligeni, a French Open semifinalist, Andre Sa and Flavio Saretta make up the rest of the Brazil's team.

The tie, scheduled for Sept. 20-22, will be played in Rio de Janeiro.
