Wednesday, October 18 Faulk steps up his record pace By Rico Longoria ESPN.comOf all the heroes in the St. Louis offense this season, Marshall Faulk is arguably the biggest. Don't believe it? Look at the numbers.
And Faulk is not only chasing his own record for yards from scrimmage in a season, he is attacking it. On pace to gain 2,891 yards this season, nearly 500 yards better than his record 2,429 in 1999, Faulk is also poised to set career highs in three other categories: rushing yards, receptions and receiving yards. Should Faulk lead the NFL in yards from scrimmage again this season, he will join Jim Brown and Gale Sayers as the only running backs to top the league in as many as three straight seasons.
