As an 11th seed last season, the Hawks upset No. 6 seed Tulane before losing to eventual NCAA runner-up Duke 66-60. In the Hawks' 11th Big Dance bid, St. Joe's will continue to rely on Susan Moran, an Ireland native who was last season's A-10 Rookie of the Year and scored 27 points in an Atlantic 10 semifinal loss to Xavier, senior Angela Zampella, who tallied 25 points in the same game, and fifth-year senior Jana Lichnerova, who added 17 rebounds and 11 points in the loss.
