BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Sarah Goree scored 19 points and Grace Daley added 17 to help Tulane (No. 21 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) hold off a second-half run for a 73-69 victory over UAB on Thursday night.

Janell Burse and Britt Themann each scored 11 points to help Tulane (22-3 overall, 11-3 Conference USA), which shot 61 percent to UAB's 39 in the first half.

Tulane shot 54 percent to UAB's 46 percent despite being outscored in the second half, 40-33.

Mia Thrash led UAB with 20 points and Holly Holland and Brandi Stallings had 12 each.
