LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) _ Stacy Nobles rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns and Liberty finished with 262 rushing yards Saturday en route to a 48-14 victory over Fayetteville State.

Nobles scored on a two-yard run late in the first quarter and a one-yard run early in the third. Chris Newsome threw two touchdown passes for Liberty (2-2).

Newsome, 7-of-19, passed for 160 yards. He hit Alonzo Mathews with a three-yard TD pass in the second quarter and Walt Heilig with a 43-yard TD pass in the third. Heilig also scored on a six-yard run in the third quarter.

The Flames scored 34 points in the second half and finished with 498 yards.

Fayetteville State (1-3) was held scoreless until the fourth quarter and was forced to punt six times.

Jimia Brantley finished with 111 receiving yards and caught one touchdown pass for Fayetteville State.
